The Rose Mountain Rumble’s 100k course option takes you out of town and into the sticks. If the 40 miler is no joke, the RMR 100k takes things up a few notches. We’re bringin’ the hammer with the nails with this one! A minimum of 32mm tires are recommended. The course begins at the Historic Lyndeborough Old Town Hall along side the 40 and 20 mile course, quickly enters gravel at Dutton Road, follows the 20 and 40 mile courses but takes an abrupt turn in Francestown, NH and starts up a climb that is not for the faint of heart. Leave the at kids home. Pack an extra set of undies and make sure you have mom’s phone number just in case. The 100k course is equally a fast paced ripper chocked full of scenic dirt roads, good tree cover, scenic overlooks, technical descents and climbs but takes you into some rough territory. Be prepared. There’s some nasty sections. Nothing too scary but certainly not a walk in the park! This is a super fun challenging course. It won’t kill you but like the 40, certainly puts your mettle to the test. The course boasts well over 80% gravel roads. This one is where tall tales begin and adventures are put to memory.
The Rose Mountain Rumble’s 40 mile course option might only be 40 miles, but it is no joke. This is a rumble AND we’ve got some new twists for you! A minimum of 32mm tires are recommended. The course begins at the Historic Lyndeborough Old Town Hall, and quickly enters gravel at Dutton Road. This is your first taste of the areas finest. The 40 mile course is a fast paced ripper chocked full of scenic dirt roads, good tree cover, scenic overlooks, technical descents and climbs. It’s been described as a super fun course that won’t kill you but certainly puts your mettle to the test. The course boasts well over 70% gravel roads. So bring your A-Game and drag your friends up from Bean Town. You won’t be sorry.
The Rose Mountain Rumble’s 20 mile course option is a great introduction for families and beginner riders who want to get out for an afternoon of scenic fun and enjoy a laid back, relatively simple pedal. The course begins at the Historic Lyndeborough Old Town Hall, and enters Dutton Road along with the 40 mile and 100k options. Dutton Road along with many of the roads on the 20 Mile course is a well maintained current use gravel road. From here the course meanders through Lyndeborough and connecting towns featuring scenic overlooks, historic High Bridge (a great place for a snack and rest!), the Trebuchet at Yankee Farm and the return trip to your starting point where lunch is waiting for all riders.
